But we're already looking forward seeing you next year!
It's a large gathering for board game players, with the goal of meeting other players, sharing your favorite games, discovering new releases, participating in fun activities, and having a lot of fun. Ludo-Outaouais is one of the oldest gaming gatherings in Quebec, with participants coming from all over.
The concept is simple: passionate volunteers charitably lend some of their games for the duration of the festival. These loans, combined with games from the Ludo-Gatineau club, create a library of several hundred games. Participants can borrow them at any time during the event. With over two hundred participants, it's easy to find partners and someone who can explain the rules of the chosen game. In just a few minutes, you'll be ready to try a new game with players as motivated as you. This is a format called "self-service gaming."
To ensure the smooth operation of game lending, it is essential to respect the borrowed games and their generous owners. When borrowing, respecting games means using a computerized lending system that identifies the borrower by scanning their badge, paying particular attention to the shelf from which the game was taken, and borrowing only one game at a time. Additionally, by making sure not to dirty the games with food or drinks and by ensuring that no game pieces get lost when it comes time to put them away, you will help make the convention a great experience for everyone.
